온돌은 난방방법으로서의 역할뿐만 아니라 주거문화의 중요한 요소로 발생되고 발달하여 오늘에 이르고 있습니다.
국제온돌학회는 천여년전으로부터 과학적인 방법으로 현재까지 보존되어온 한반도 북부지역과 만주지역의 온돌을 기초로 설립되었으며 온돌구조와 그 기술적인 가치발굴에 전력하고 있습니다.
금번 2006년 국제온돌학회 학술대회를 통하여 교류기회를 증진하고 온돌의 역사성 고찰하고 수천년을 이어온 유구한 온돌남방 기술을 현대에 접속하여 인류의 위대한 발명인 온돌문화를 한층 계승 발전시켜 나가는데 일조하시길 바랍니다.

We wish your(company/academy/university) everlasting prosperous growth.
In this time, Ondol is not only heating system, bot also very important fact of housing culture. This is very grateful that ISO(International Society of Ondol, 溫突 , 炕, Floor Radiant Heating System) has been established based on Manjuria and north area of Korea Penisular which performed scientifically process in floor heating system throughout the ancient science history and became to open the forth general meeting.
We hope to prospect Ondol's historical examination and the direction of it's development as we expect the technique and supply of new flooring system. We also wish this general meeting & presentation of research would give you the chance for discussion and exchanging information about prospect of floor heating system which is housing system of Northeast Asia.
